The result of the Brazil-Germany Joint Public Call for bioeconomy projects is now available. The initiative will support the development of new technological solutions, products, services and processes, based on the themes of “industrial use of biomass” and “medicinal and aromatic plants”, promoting the generation of knowledge, technology and innovation for economic, social and of both countries.
Four projects from the states of Santa Catarina, Minas Gerais, Goiás and Rio Grande do Sul were selected. R$6.8 million will be provided by the Brazilian government and €2 million by the German government for the initiatives to develop innovative solutions for sustainable and the economic growth of Brazil and Germany.

At the same time, the AcroAlliance project will be developed in Minas Gerais, by the Federal University of Viçosa, with the purpose of contributing to the development of the macaúba value chain, based on the sustainable use of local biodiversity.
