• A critical look at the effectiveness and innovations in forest management and macauba seed production for the 2030 Forest Goal.

INOCAS recently hosted a strategic visit from Palladium, contracted by Fundo Vale, to monitor and boost the development of its environmental restoration project. This project is part of the 2030 Forest Goal, focusing on the restoration of degraded areas and the promotion of sustainable practices.

During the visit, which took place in Alto Paranaíba, Minas Gerais, significant progress in the structuring of the hub was highlighted, with an emphasis on the qualification of the technical team and the expansion of the commercial nursery. Additionally, technological innovations were introduced to strengthen the production chain, including the strategic collection, storage, and processing of macauba seeds.

These initiatives not only promote environmental restoration but also demonstrate INOCAS’ commitment to innovation and sustainability. Johannes Zimpel, CEO of INOCAS, stated:

“We are focused on helping to achieve the 2030 Forest Goal in collaboration with Fundo Vale.”

The 2030 Forest Goal is an initiative that, through innovative solutions, aims to contribute to Vale’s voluntary sustainability commitments. The objective is to protect and restore 500,000 hectares of land in Brazil by 2030. As part of this program, the organization promotes and strengthens businesses that implement land restoration through agroforestry production systems.

Through this partnership, INOCAS reinforces its role in building a more sustainable future and preserving natural resources.
